Pour Vous Molly
Hmmmm.
Lot's of thoughts.
I find lately that I have been hermitting myself. Totally shutting myself out from the world. I've been stripping wall paper in my room slowly trying to make the room my own. It still has the same ridiculous wallpaper I had chosen in grade three. Pink roses and blue stripes just ain't my thang.
So as I pick away at the paper I think of how I love to interact with people when things are going well. But when life gets sucky I isolate myself. I hate being that person you call and has mostly a majority of negative news to share. So if I do talk to you I'll probably not share the full extent of what's going on.
I'm sure I'm not the only one. I suppose as humans in our tough times we are meant to reach out to others. But , that is difficult. Admitting you need a listening ear or help is never easy. At least for me it isn't.
The other thing I've been loathing lately is my propensity to talk about myself. I find talking about me terribly boring. But I find myself bleating some ridiculous story to whomever will listen. I think it has mostly to do with my lack of social interaction. I'm slowly forgetting how to speak in public. My house is becoming like 'Never Cry Wolf' only I'm learning to share my enviroment with cats instead of wolves. Well, the occaisional adult male and female I call parents cross my path. Nice sorts but they're busy or sleeping or watching tv.
I had an odd experience the other day. A somewhat embarrassing expereince. I was in Walmart picking up various ammenities for my mother when I heard a woman reprimanding her child.
"stop that. Stop doing that right now." Is what I heard as I rounded the aisle corner.
"Stop touching yourself!' was the exasperated words I heard as I saw a mother trying to teach her young boy the ettiquitte of where your hands should be in public.
Yikes! I can't wait to be a parent in the future.
