Friends, Airports, Pink

I am profoundly fortunate to have some lovely friends. I have this one friend who lets me be an ultra paranoid, self analytical to a fault, emotionally spastic female. These moments are rare and few( times were I feel I can be weak in front of someone without being judged) but there are times were I just need to spill what has been happening in my head sometimes. This person listens and doesn't judge me for that. Everyone should have someone like that! And fortunately I am able to be there for this person too. Friendship is such a wonderful gift.

So our hero has negotiated her way through the past week satisfactorily ending up in places and situations not anticipated. And hoping for resolutions and new begginnings across the board. I've been in this state of hyper awareness of everything happening and it's quite exhausting. That and I think my parents having me sign their will before they left for South Africa felt like they were going away to die. A very eerie feeling. Thank goodness they've returned.

The toronto airport is a freaky place. You can get lost easily there. I mangaged to figure out where I needed to be to pick up my parents from Terminal three but I was feeling a little bit like I was in Blade Runner with all the concrete and flourescent lighting. I started to doubt that everyone around me was human.
I spent the next two hours waiting for a delayed flight to get in and I had the opportunity to people watch without seeming nosey. Can I say there was A LOT of PDA going on. Yikes, uber amounts of kissing. And one female that I had to really think alot about before I could truly identify her sex. Fascinating stuff. Especially the conversation between Hilary and Jessica two petite blondes , who were discussing their friends obsession with sex and the city and how she was dating a loser. Poor Michelle she should just ditch Dan in my opinion. Then they launched into a tirade of how they couldn't find the latest In Style magazine in the airport. I wished at that point my name was Brittany and that I could talk to them about how hard it is to keep demension in my hair colour after dying it blonde so many times. I lost interest and started watching a two year old Korean girl in a pink coat laugh uproariously as she ran around a post over and over. I wanted to be her. At least I was wearing pink.

It's funny how the mundane nature of life can be so fascinating at moments like that.

Blade Runner is such a sweet movie. Yes, that one line reference to a movie is all I was able to retain from your blog. Sad isn't it? I missed the whole point. Um. .. yeah for pink friends?
