Happy Wanderererer.
I love to drive.
The mind can do all sorts of things while driving. Driving out of my grandmother's place one has to travel down windy roads and past a beef farm. My grandmother killed the beef farmers new dog a few months ago. She was heart broken. So was the farmer. It was his second dog in two months to get squished. You think he would stop buying 800 dollar dogs that run out into traffic.
As I passed by I noticed a rather dashing young farm hand. I then had an imaginary conversation in which I would introduce myself as the granddaughter of the woman who killed your bosses dog. Then we would discuss the adavantages of wearing camouflauge coveralls. 'why yes, I can sneak up on the cows wearing this' he would say. I would wittily reply, ' but aren't they colour blind?' then he would be stunned by my mysteriousness and offer me the first spring calf in tribute to my goddess like behaviour.
Snap back to reality and I realize that I forgot to brush my teeth that morning.
All in all a well done weekend. Family christmas with my mum's side is always fun. 7 cousins under the age of 14 makes things interesting.
Always watch what you say... your six year old cousin is watching and waiting to imitate.
Never play with large dogs(shoulder at my hip size.) who aren't fixed... they would like to be your boyfriend.
Never tell your grandmother you dislike beige then realize her whole house is decorated in it.
Always take time to play with your cousins hair.
Tell the family you love them. Even after your drunk aunt has a break down over the turkey stuffing.
