Mascara vs. Male Romance
Mascara? Sure why not...It makes you look purdy right? Hmm not so. apparently since there are a myriad of varieties that would like to help you along in your impression of a racoon. Well at least with someone who insists on rubbing her eyes because she's sleepy.
So as I comtemplated the injustice of mascara I noticed a little book peeping at me from under my bed. It was my treasured copy of Jane Austens Pride and Prejudice. I then got that happy goofy smile that most females get when thinking about Jane Austen. I then thumbed through the pages and read some of my favourite passages. I paused at one moment and started to wonder what is a guys sense of romance?
I have the lucky position of being engaged to a man who is in touch with his ovaries and likes Pride and Prejudice (including the 6 hour bbc version, but don't tell him I told you.) But what about other guys? Part of me refuses to believe what media and standup comics say about guys just being in it for sex. I think there is more to it. At least I hope there is! For their partners sakes. I know most guys aren't into getting flowers or chocolates. I know that Cam enjoys it when I bake or even just say something nice to him. (complimenting is not my strong suit. I still like to tease and hit him like I'm an 8 year old since I'm pretty immature and the L word makes me blush)
What is the deal? It shouldn't be that hard to figure out!
I think I'll go back to thinking about masara. At least I can just change brands.
