I should pray more often...

Funny how when things get stressful I'll forget to pray. Then occaisionally in my hamster wheel stress out routine I'll think, 'Gee, maybe God could help me out with this one...considering he's the master of the universe and kinda likes me and would like to help me out occaisionally.'

So, Cameron and I were on the hunt for a place for him to live. It wasn't going all that well considering the budget we had in mind. Either the places that we called were already rented out, or they were just down right sketch. By sketch I mean, burnt out light on front lawn, furniture strewn across drive way, broken tile in front vestibule, poster of scarface, nutty proffessor and Jessica Simpson in living room, can't tell if they ever cleaned the shag carpet since it was installed in 1973 kinda of place. Yikes! It was looking like we would have to spend the extra few hundred dollars for an apartment. I swear I also saw 'that guy on the couch' from that lovable drug movie we all know and love. Thankfully everyone was wearing pants in that place. *sigh* Then low and behold, I decided to ask God for help in getting Cameron a place to live.

It worked. Go figure. Cam let me know that he found a place and told me the address. Strange, it's just a four minute walk from my house. It's on a bus line to get him to work too... 'Well it's probably a dive' I'm thinking but I still had hope it wouldn't. It turns out it's this lovely little old widow who takes on boarders to share her home. She insists on serving three square meals a day in her formal dining room ( complete with crystal chandelier) doing his laundry, packing his lunch and changing his bed sheets for him...twice a week since he's doing hard labour. She doesn't like the idea of having to sleep on sweaty sheets and said he was to nice a boy for that. He has a bathroom and living room with tv pretty much to himself. But what really clinched the deal was the 7 week old siamese long haired kitten who ricocheted off the wall when we first walked in. All of this for less then 400 dollars a month!

On the more girly side of things I've found the dress that I want for my wedding. wow, crazy. It sure is purdy. I've also decided to go non-traditional in wedding attire for the rest of the wedding party. The bridesmaids are wearing fitted, tailored, jean jackets with a-line dress skirts and the groomsman are wearing nice jeans with dress shirts. I hate the idea of doing an outdoor wedding and having to wear formal clothes especially tuxes. We're also going barefoot/flipflops. Thankfully details are coming together for the wedding. Only problem is teh guest list. Having to juggle my parents friends, mine, Cameron's, and his parents is tough. We only have space for 100. Dang do my parents have alot of friends! I would love to say to people to show up for the wedding if they want but we can't fit everyone for the reception. But even the ceremony site is maxed out at 100. I hope I can figure out a way to work it out. hmm maybe I should pray about this one toooooo.

sounds like fun all that planning, not! We had to plan small too, but it was still exactly what we wanted. Hey, if ya can't fit us in for the wedding, just have another big party when you get back from your honeymoon! We'd love to see you guys!

dee- that's such good news (about finding a good place to live for Cam & a dress for you) about the guest list, as long as i'm on it (wink, wink) that's great. :)
Will you have dancing at your reception? Because if you need space for the meals & such, I can go eat at a fast food place and then come for the dancing later! I'm getting ahead of myself here, this is all IF I'm invited...
